Gordon Chapman-Fox from Fwonk* Records had shown interest in my music and graciously asked me to record whatever I wanted for release on his label. I had some ideas of recording a few different EPs for the netlabel, but I decided to start off with a single. That single was “Enjoying the Undertow” (which you’ll find on the companion album to this, In Germinal Knots), and Stupid, Stupid, Stupid Heart ended up as the B-side. So this song was originally released on June 27, 2014 on Fwonk* Records as FW142 (fwonk.bandcamp.com/album/fw142-enjoying-the-undertow). Both sides of the single were lovingly mastered by Almark (synthoelectro.bandcamp.com).
The song’s title came courtesy of my friend Adri, from a poem she had written. Special thanks to her and to Todd and Leo Reitzell for the translation of my spoken words to French from English. As well, a big thank you to Gordon Chapman-Fox, who supported my using the single on this compilation, although it had originally been released on his label. Check out Gordon’s beautiful music as Heskin Radiophonic (heskinradiophonic.bandcamp.com) and the extensive Fwonk* catalog of amazing artists (fwonk.bandcamp.com).

This EP was created using guitar, delay pedals and a looper pedal. It has an excellent experimental feel with great use of delay, layered sounds and feedback and Roofhare gets a huge range of sounds from the guitar. I really like the development of rhythmic sounds and interplay between the different delay effects which gives an ambience with a darker edge and great tension at times. Andrulian

Wonderful mix of melancholy, euphoric, vibes, with ethereal and industrial sounds intermingling to create a unique entity. A vey interesting meeting point between the two creatives behind it.
I love the whole piece, but the track 'Risk' holds a special place, as it is first track I heard. I love the feel and flow, it captures something in me everytime I hear it. Jessica Pink
